Visitors Nottingham Forest seemingly have their work cut out to say the least, but they’ll also be motivated by their own undefeated start to the Premier League season (W1, D2). Things could’ve been so much better for Nuno Espírito Santo’s men however, as they took the lead in both of their 1-1 draws against Bournemouth and Wolves.
Doing so here would be an achievement of its own given Liverpool’s defensive prowess, but the Tricky Trees may back themselves regardless as they’ve won their last three away league games. None of those grounds were Anfield though, a venue that has haunted Forest, who haven’t won there in 26 visits (D6, L20), a run dating back to March 1978!
Players to watch: Mohamed Salah has had an electrifying start to the season with goals in each game so far, and he’ll be gunning to become just the second Liverpool player to score in the opening four games of a Premier League campaign after Daniel Sturridge in 2013/14. Attempting to end a drought will be Forest’s Chris Wood, who has failed to score against Liverpool in 12 previous H2Hs - all of his last six goals have come before the 30-minute mark.
