The most frequently played fixture in Bundesliga history returns for the 115th time as Werder Bremen look to improve their rather average all-time record against Bayern Munich (W27, D26, L61). A degree of confidence can be taken from the fact that Werder come into this unbeaten in league action after picking up their first win of the campaign in the previous round (W1, D2), a 2-1 win over Mainz despite playing a third of the game with ten men.

Players to watch: Mitchell Weiser has assisted two of Werder’s four league goals this term and scored the winner in the latest H2H, meaning he’s contributed to a goal against Bayern in the last two seasons (G1, A1). For Bayern, Serge Gnabry has contributed to a goal in every domestic appearance so far this season (G1, A3) and has found the net in each of his last three Bundesliga H2Hs against Werder (G5).
