Serie A title challengers Atalanta have hit a bump in the road of late, with a goalless draw against Udinese on Saturday stretching their winless run to three matches across all competitions (D2, L1). Perhaps most concerningly, La Dea managed just two shots on target in that draw as they failed to score for a second successive game - an ominous sign ahead of a meeting with a Juventus side they’ve blanked against in three of the last four H2Hs.

That’s helped contribute to a failure to win any of the last six meetings with the Old Lady  (D4, L2), but a return to the Gewiss Stadium should be exactly what Gian Piero Gasperini’s men need. That’s because they’ve netted nine times across their last two home matches, while Real Madrid are the only side to beat Atalanta on their own turf since September (W7, D1).

Like Atalanta, Juventus were dumped out of the Supercoppa Italiana in the semi-finals and opened up 2025 with a Serie A draw. Their 1-1 stalemate in the Derby della Mole against Torino was remarkably their 12th in the league already this season, six of which have arrived in their last seven such matches (W1).

Thiago Motta’s men at least remain the only side in the division yet to be beaten in the league this season (W7, D12), while they’re also unbeaten in all 12 of their away matches across all competitions (W5, D7). Juventus have at least opened the scoring in four of their last five away league matches, and that could help them inflict a 76th H2H defeat on Atalanta - no side has ever beaten them more.

Players to watch: Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere has scored eight of his ten goals for the club this season at home, with seven of those arriving before the break. Ex-Atalanta player Teun Koopmeiners returns to Bergamo looking to score another goal on the road - that’s where ten of his last 13 Serie A strikes came.

Hot stat: Atalanta have scored at least twice in each of their last 16 domestic home matches.
